Thanks for visiting my blog, Sugar N Spice! I am originally from India, lives in Sandnes, Norway (the most beautiful place in the world). I moved to Norway with my husband in 2002 and have two awesome boys Eleven and Seven years old. I work for a consulting company as IT Team Lead. Cooking and baking is something I love, and something I find gratifying. It brings me lot of joy and it is an outlet for my creativity.
When I was in high school, for summer classes I was enrolled into a baking course. That’s where my passion for baking picked up. My guinea pig was my grandfather. He never refused to taste my experiments:-). And my brother was my biggest critic, till date :-). Baking is my passion and I always look forward for any chance to bake for my near and dear ones.
Indians are world famous for their spices and cuisines. In any Indian home, kitchen is always the hub of activity – it’s where everyone gathers to talk, eat and share their passion for food. Since I was little girl, I used to follow my mother in kitchen. It was very fascinating for me to watch her creating such wonderful dishes without much effort. From her I embraced the flair for cooking and understanding of spices. I like to create innovative and fusion dishes. I experiment a lot with spices in sweet and savory dishes. My kitchen is my lab to innovate and create something new :-)
